October 23, 2024

In a heartfelt acknowledgment of his commitment to community transformation, Terrell Jolly, founder of Integrity Capital Management, was celebrated as the Affordable Housing Champion at the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) Greater Kansas City’s Thrive event. Held in the historic 18th and Vine District, this annual gathering brings together community champions and advocates to honor those making a meaningful difference in Kansas City’s neighborhoods. For over 15 years, Terrell has been a driving force for change, focusing on creating sustainable, affordable housing that uplifts underserved communities across the metro area. Reflecting on this recognition, Terrell shared, “Purpose fuels perseverance. Remember, impact often blooms where you least expect.”

Terrell’s recognition is particularly meaningful, as his journey has been fueled by a deep commitment to Kansas City’s East Side, where Integrity Capital Management has worked to rehabilitate abandoned homes and promote economic mobility through stable, affordable housing. As Terrell reflected after the event, “The work my team and I do isn’t for the awards, but it’s truly uplifting to be recognized. For over 15 years, my focus has been on creating sustainable housing within our community, and it’s rewarding to know the impact resonates with others. This journey isn’t something I could walk alone. Without the support of my family and the tireless dedication of my team, none of this would be possible.”

The Thrive event also honored other leaders in community development, including the Mid-America LGBT Chamber of Commerce as the Economic Development Champion and the Full Employment Council as the Financial Empowerment Champion, showcasing the collective effort driving progress across Kansas City. Events like Thrive bring together diverse voices and highlight the critical role that collaboration plays in shaping stronger, more inclusive communities.

Terrell expressed his gratitude to those who nominated him, noting that the acknowledgment from his community provides renewed energy to tackle the challenges facing affordable housing.

“Huge thank you to Geoff Jolley, Holly Long, and the entire LISC team for an amazing event celebrating the work of so many dedicated individuals and organizations driving change in Kansas City. Your recognition means more than words can express. I’ll continue to trust God’s plan, staying the course, and doing everything in my power to uplift our communities and honor the gifts I’ve been blessed with.”
